About Us

In 1987, Coker Business Systems, Inc. (CBSI) was founded by L. E. Coker, Sr., at its existing location on Main Street in Turbeville, SC. In 1988, L.E. Coker, Jr. (Eric) joined the business as Vice President of Sales. Following his father's death in 2012, Eric assumed his father's role as President.

Over the past years, CBSI has grown from its early days of stand-alone copiers for a few loyal customers: presently, CBSI has tripled its original square footage and enjoys its present standing as one of the largest Kyocera dealerships in South Carolina. The company's focus on network solutions has broadened its scope to include the state's coastal regions, as well.

CBSI, a Kyocera Mita dealership since inception, has been an award-winning corporation for years and in 2013 was the first dealership in South Carolina to be recognized as a Total Document Solutions (TDS) Provider and a Service Solutions Provider (SSP), Kyocera's most prestigious Sales and Service honors.

The principles incorporated into the business in 1987 remain the same today: "To treat each customer as if they were the only customer" and "To view each customer as a member of the family, not a number." CBSI looks forward to continuing its emphasis on Total Document Solutions---"One Company, One Solution."
